I wanted to ask you a little bit about how you first became interested in punk music, just generally, and what maybe some of your favorite bands are, and then we'll talk about how you became interested in Russian punk specifically. It's a hard question, because I don't know exactly the moment that I became interested in punk.

Pussy Riot is a Russian feminist protest punk rock and performance art group based in Moscow. The group gained global notoriety when five members of the group staged a performance inside Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on February 21, The women said their protest was directed at the Orthodox Church leaders' support for Putin during his election campaign. Should this change in experiencing art be perceived as problematic or inconvenient simply due to its lack of proximity? What is the catalyst for change in the consumer experience, and is it inevitable? How important is the concept of genre when considering the relationship between creating and perceiving music?
